Hi there! Thank you for taking the time to stop in and check out some of my work. My name is Jennifer Soos and I am a lifestyle portrait photographer that specializes in children and families. I work all along the west coast of Florida and travel to Europe and New York as well to shoot. My passion for photography started at an early age and became more and more important with time. I think as you get older you start to value the in between moments, the ones that your mind takes you back to. The people, places and moments that steal your breath, take hold of your soul and move your heart in ways you never thought possible. Those are the moments I want to capture for you. I hope that through my work you can hear a childs laughter, see the excitment of a women about to marry her best friend, and feel the hope in every life. This is me, my vision, and my heart for my work. Enjoy.

Okay so back to Greece, one of the most incredible days that I expereinced in Santorini involved climbing a volcano, jumping off a pirate ship into the Aegean Sea and swimming to natural hot spring, riding a DONKEY up a MOUNTAIN and witnessing one of the most beautiful places I have ever laid eyes on..OIA, in Santorini Greece. Oia is one of the larger cities on the caldera. It was amazing, full of life and personality. I often found myself wondering how these construction workers built these houses into the sides of the cliffs. Everything about this day was hard but so worth it. It made me fall in love with the culture here and the city and the people in it. The food was amazing, fresh and full of flavor without anything added. And can I please talk about Greek Salad? I wont ever be able to enjoy another Greek Salad in America for as long as I live. The day was spent with my favorite fam and how many times I laughed was unbelievable. I love you G-R family I hope that you will look at these photos and remember exactly as I do how spectacular that day was. Oh and I threw a one of my favorite shots from the Fira Sunset of Lisa and Andrew. Enjoy! Love you guys!!!
August 5, 2010 - 2:52 pm - I want a Greek salad... NOW !!!!
August 11, 2010 - 3:26 pm - Honestly, just breathtaking all of it! We love you so much and your God given talent. I think there was some special waist reduction stuff in those Greek Salads and I could really just live on that the rest of my life. And of course, the magical waters..... I want them, need them. xo
September 2, 2010 - 10:57 am - I went there a few years ago while backpacking through Europe! It was amazing... I loved seeing your photos! Brought back great memories!
Every once and a while God brings people into your life that speak into your heart and open your life to new possibilities, these are my people. I met Lisa a while back and she has been like a light in my life. I say that with this job God allows me to see people the way he does its what makes me so passionate about my work, to show the legacy of a life, the way that they love and live. This trip for me was the blending of my heart to her family. I was able to travel with her, her husband and their children and all I can say is I understand why friends and family are so important. They edify and support one another and I love these people dearly. I hope that when people see their pictures that it tells their story, one of love and courage, one that gives other people hope and longing for the desires of their hearts. I had a desire of my heart come true last month, I was able to see other parts of the world, to experience friendship, love, laughter, and culture and for that I will be forever grateful. These two individuals are special, they love eachother and see the world with endless possibility and thats something that is so wonderful. Lisa and Andrew, thank you for everything, my prayer for you is that God would bless you both above and beyond anything you could ever hope or imagine. Thank you for making my dreams come true, and thank you for allowing me to tell your story, I hope that you both see how much you mean to me and everyone elses lives that you touch. I love love love you both!! XOXO,
Jenn

Okay so after an amazing and eventful week in France, I hopped on a plane with my favorite family and flew into Athens, Greece. Greece was busy and full of history and people. We had a brief stay at the Hilton Athens and after a wonderful rooftop dinner with an amazing view of the Acropolis we all hit the pillow, we got up early and headed for the port, where we took a ferry down to Santorini( you probably remember this from the movie “the sisterhood of the traveling pants”) and before you ask..yes I rode a donkey:) Santorini is an 8 hour ferry ride down into the Aegean Sea and it was nice, there was a breeze and it went pretty fast. Pulling up to Santorini was unlike anything I have ever seen before (im a florida girl there were no Volcanoes, Mountains or even hills my whole childhood) so I was blown away. I have so much to say about Santorini but I think the pictures will speak for themselves. While I was there I met this couple who I love!!!!! Martin and Caroline. The are from the UK and I had so much fun with them!! I even got them out on the black beach for a quick mini session…are’nt they gorgeous?? That is one thing I love about my job, I get to make friends all over and all I can say is I hope that they will be my friends for life..love you guys!!! Enjoy! XOXO,
Jenn
Okay so taking a little break from my European posting, Im stoping in to post a teaser for one of my very good client friends..Racheal. She had me come over and take some newborn shots of this little man and he is quite the charmer..It is always such a amazing thing to see a wonderful family expand, and little Parker is such a blessing. Newborn photography is always one of my favorite things to shoot because it is so relevant, they change and grow up so quickly and photographs are one of the most beautiful ways to preserve this time. Its always emotional to me to see parents interact with new life and I am so blessed to be able to witness and capture that love. Rach- you are a wonderful Momma and I am so glad that God decided to bless you with this baby boy! I hope that you like your teaser and I cant wait for you to see more!!! Love you girl!!! XOXO,
Jenn
Okay so I had been waiting to go into Paris and really see what the city was like and man was I floored when I finally got there. We walked out of the metro station and when I looked to my left I was like OHHHH MYYYYY GOSHHHH..there it was.. the eiffel tower, it was huge and real and I was in my own little fantasy world of fabulouness. We had lunch at a little cafe and people watched. I was amazed at the food everything was like art, and I loved it. We ended up getting on a double decker bus..(I recommend everyone do that, its a great way to see the city) and I shot the city from up there, the city is alive and has this buzz like electricity, it was so awesome to see and know that I was really there. The artchiteture is un-be-liv-able.. everything is old and full of meaning, I kept thinking to myself I wonder whose hands created all of this? It was really intricate and perfect the gold in the city is like icing on the top of a perfect cake and I just wanted to eat it all up. The second part of the city was a shoot for some friends of my friends and it was inside a parisian apartment. The parisian apartments are not like America at all they are old but well kept full of personality and character, with round corridors and lots of neat little rooms. They have mouldings that make the room so much more ornate and balconys that overlook the streets of the city. Some of my favorite shots from this session were of the two little girls watching the street traffic throught the wrought iron rails. It made me think that this is there little world, what they know and see everyday, what an amazing experience for these babies. They know the city, eat baguettes and speak 3 languages. I cant say it enough, its mind blowing at how smart and applied the children are over there. I just want to say thank you to Jenn and Deves for having me in your home to shoot these amazing pictures of these remarkable little children. I hope that these will help tell the story of their lives and time that they spent in Paris. Enjoy!! XOXO,
Jenn
August 15, 2010 - 5:23 pm - JEN! I totally ate at that cafe in France!!!!
Okay so my second shoot from France was a family from a local suburb Le Vesinet. I met up with the P family to shoot some updated pictures of these little sweet girls and some family shots. I was so blown away by how smart these babies were, they spoke 3 languages and were very charming and social. I loved being able to see a little bit of what life was like for a family living in France. It amazes me the differnce in culture and life, I absolutely loved it and cant wait to go back. Luciana I hope that you enjoy these photos of you beautiful family! Thank you so much for allowing me into your home and I hope to see you all agian soon! Enjoy!! XOXO,
Jenn
Okay soooooooo I have been gone from the blog for soooo long and its been an amazing month and then some, as many of you know I was blessed enough to be able to extend my services across the atlantic to Paris France, Greece, and Holland. While I was away I was photographing some of my favorite people but also in what I believe to be one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. As soon as I got to Paris I dropped my cases and we headed off to Versailles many of you may know that this was where Marie Antionette resided and it was breathtaking. The castle was huge ornate and magestic and the gardens…oh the gardens!!! It was simply the most amazing this I have ever seen. We took some time to drive around the grounds in a golf cart and were able to shoot a bunch of really great stuff. They had pony rides, paddleboats, little cafes where you could sit and people watch the whole day was awesome. I hope that you all enjoy the next bunch of posts and I hope that you can see what an amazing world we have out there. Enjoy!XOXO,
Jenn
